U-9 Developmental Lacrosse Program

Rising Stars Lacrosse is driven to help the sport of lacrosse grow and prosper in Central Massachusetts. One of the best ways to grow the sport and ensure its continuation in the future is to introduce young children to this exciting, fast paced sport at an early age. With our unique instructional program, young children are introduced to the sport in a fun and instructional setting. Children are broken down within the groups based on age and ability. Everyone receives the specific instruction they need to improve their game. By giving them a strong fundamental base, our young players will have the tools they need to succeed in the future.

When?

Starting in early April - June

Wednesdays 5:30pm - 6:30pm

Saturdays 9:00am - 10:00am

O’Connell Field, 151 Grove Street, Worcester, MA

Directions

For who?
This league is for young boys and girls who are currently in the 3rd grade or younger. We have had participants as young as 4 play in this league. No prior experience is needed by the children or their parents!!! We will teach you.

Cost?
Registration Fee- $60.00 for new players, $50.00 for returning developmental players, and families with multiple children participating. Registration can be done HERE online or on a printable application.

Gloves Shoulder Pads
Mouth Piece

Optional But Recommended:
Groin Protection

**Hockey Helmets, Gloves and Shoulder Pads are acceptable.

Who is running the league?
Rising Stars Lacrosse is owned and run by Rob Vigeant and Patrick Gaffney. Coach Vigeant is the head boy’s lacrosse coach at St. John’s High School and founder of Rising Stars Lacrosse. Rob is the father of three young boys who desperately wanted to play lacrosse. This league is for them, and boys like them who are bored and unexcited about playing baseball and/or soccer. The focus of this league will be on instruction and having fun learning the game of lacrosse.
